EASY TO GROW - Shirley F1 tomatoes are easy to grow and provide you with a good crop. When planting out tomato plants it's important to grow them at least two feet apart in fertile, well draining soil. Adding organic matter such as manure will help water retention.

SUNLIGHT - Tomato plants require at least six hours of full sunlight a day but ideally if they can get at least 8 hours this is more beneficial for the plants as this helps them to produce fruit. Too little sunlight can cause them to stay green for longer and not turn red. Too much sunlight can lead to leaf scorch. 

WATERING - Tomato plants should be watered regularly and deeply at the base of the plant. The amount of water needed depends on the weather, the size of the plant, and whether it's grown in a container. The best time to water is first thing in the day, before the sun increases evaporation and during hot weather to prevent wilting.
