Plant advice: Your Betty Magnolia will enjoy a space that benefits from full sun or partial shade. She’ll thrive in a moist, but well-drained/well-drained soil that has an acidic or neutral pH and is a loamy, sandy or clay type. Water well until established.

This Magnolia is fully hardy and can withstand low temperatures (-15° to -20C°), but we recommend that you supply some shelter that can protect the emerging buds from dry, cold winds in the winter months.

Description

Magnolia ‘Betty’ is a stunning deciduous shrub with green, glossy oval-shaped leaves that turn various hues of copper in autumn. In spring, you will see an abundance of large, showy and fragrant blossoming flowers with narrow tepals, a deep fuchsia pink on the outside and white/light pink on the inside, softening the flower’s appearance.

This award winning variety has received the The RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM) for its resilience, ease of care and reliability – so you can be sure you’re getting a plant that you can cherish for many years to come.
