50 Indian Mustard Amsoi Seeds, Good for Stir-Fries, Wonderful for Salads and Curries. Tender, Fast Growing 60 Days, Easy & Reliable, Cut & Come Again Veg or Sow Every Few Weeks, Grows Most of the Year. Highly Nutritious - An Excellent Source of Vitamins and Antioxidents. 50 Seeds Supplied.

Indian Mustard Amsoi is well worth growing from seed. It has delicious tender green leaves with a peppery taste. It is fast growing (60 days), prolific and so handy to have - just cut leaves as and when required and more will grow. Suitable for cutting as baby leaves for salads after approx 30 days, or grow on for more mature leaves and it is really quite delicious. Leave to grow longer for stir-frying and curries. Picked small, the leaves also add a lovely flavour to sandwiches. Amsoi is quite cold tolerant and it does well in Spring, Summer and Autumn and is easy to grow, but please note very hot weather can affect germination. You can extend the cutting season if you grow some plants in a greenhouse, coldframe or windowsill. Awaiting photos, illustrations are for guidance only.

Sowing Seeds - Indoors February to April and Sow Outdoors April to Sept/Oct

For Winter Leaves Sow Seeds in a Greenhouse, Coldframe or Windowsill.

Avoid Mid-Summer Plantings as plants may bolt in hot weather.

Sow indoors February to April for best results for an early crop or sow outdoors every 3 to 4 weeks - successional sowings. Sow in cell trays filled with damp seed compost, 2 seeds per cell 1cm deep. For germination the seeds require a temperature of at least 10c, not too cold and not too hot. Seedlings usually appear in 7-10 days. Keep watered but not soaked. Remove the weaker of the two plants, as soon as the first true leaves appear on the plants. Plant outside when the plants are large enough and when the weather is warmer - gradually accustom the plants to outdoor temperature when all danger of frost has passed. Plant outdoors in a partially sunny position (not too sunny), spacing the plants 10-15cm apart for baby leaves, or 20cm apart for mature plants (rows 20-30cm apart). Plants can also be grown in large containers, flower borders and raised beds.

Sow Outdoors April to Sept/October in a partially sunny position - not too hot as germination is not good in hot weather. Sow seeds where they are to crop. Mark out the row with a stick at each end and sow the seeds thinly 1cm deep, in finely prepared soil, Rows 20-30cm apart, cover the seeds with soil, you can use a fine sieve for this. Keep watered but not soaked. Mustard leaves grow quickly and you will soon be able to start harvesting them, especially baby leaves! It is a cut and come again veg but more seeds can be sown every few weeks for a constant supply of leaves. Enjoy your harvest of healthy, home grown Amsoi Mustard!

For a Winter supply, sow seeds in a greenhouse, coldframe or windowsill in October.

Seeds will be packed in manilla/grip seal packets and sent by 1st Class Post in a protective padded envelope, with growing instructions.
