This is a breathtaking tropical plant that will flower with the most unusual white and purple bloom resembling a bat, hence the common name. It can be grown indoors all year round.

Sowing:  Before sowing the seeds, soak in tepid water for 24 hours. After that sow the seeds in good compost mixed with perlite. The seeds should be placed just under the soil surface and not buried. Keep the growing medium moist but do not overwater. Place in a bright and warm location at a steady temperature of around 20-22°C. Seedlings should appear in around 8 to 12 weeks.Once the seedlings are strong enough, they can be potted on.
