Description

Buxus sempervirens is a genus of about 70 species in the family Buxaceae. Common names include common box, European box or boxwood. They are slow-growing evergreen shrubs and small trees growing around 10-15cm per year. The flowers are small and yellow-green, monoecious with both sexes present on a plant. It is very easy to grow and can be grown in pots or any garden, in full sun or part shade. It is classed as fully UK hardy.
