Characteristics: This evergreen shrub with bushy habit has green foliage that stays with the plant throughout all seasons. As late-Spring approaches, a reddish-purple tone of colouring comes into the shrub, giving the shrub a beautiful flower for the time when gardening is at its peak.

Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.5 – 1m.

Period of Interest: The ever-present green foliage is a nice starting block for the shrub, but when the Geisha is joined by the bold purple colouring as it heads into Summertime, that is when the true potential of this shrub shows itself.

Description

The bold colour of the Azalea Geisha Purple is a feature that makes this shrub a great piece to include in any small garden, garden border, bed or container. The Geisha will provide the garden with a beautiful purple colour in the shrub’s flowers during Spring and Summer, meaning that it will give the garden a highly admirable shrub to plant with all of its visually pleasing attributes.

Plant the shrub in moist, well-drained soil as this is what the plant will appreciate most. Make sure that, during the warmer periods of Spring and Summer that it gets regular watering as temperatures begin to rise. Partially shaded areas are great for the Geisha, with direct sunlight not ideal.
